Love Springsreen's first 3 albums, especially the 2nd one "The Wild.....Shuffle" which is near perfect.
Started going down hill after he shaved the beard off.
"The River" is so overrated and so boring. Of course there're about 4 good songs on that LP but that's a double album. I've a feeling Bruce was trying to go a certain direction with that album, and therefore the songwriting suffered because it was so forced?
I've never seen him live but from what I've seen on TV and on YouTube he's not my cup of tea live. (Not trying to make enemies here, but I wouldn't go out of my way to try and get tickets.)
"We Shall Overcome" was a bitter disappointment, a wasted opportunity.
But he bounced back with "Wrecking Ball", an amazing album!!! Except for a couple of fillers, the songs on there are so powerful!!
