He made great one of my favorite songs -- Gentle On My Mind. He wasn't the first one to do it. I can't recall the writer's name. (is it John Harford?) And he wasn't the last. Elvis and Frank Sinatra did lovely versions of it. But Glen Campbell's version was beautiful too and his is probably the best known.
