I don't know if it's true or not. I have read extensively about Muddy Waters, and the Chess Brothers. What I have gleaned from that reading (and interviews) is that if Muddy Waters was painting the ceiling that day, it would fit right in with the relationship he had with the Chess Brothers. However, that's not what I was wondering about............
......I was interested in your comment about Waters stating that Richards' claim was untrue. As far as I'm aware Richards first made his claim in the late 80's, and Waters died in 1983. So I was thinking that Waters couldn't have refuted Richard's claim, because he was dead years before Richards ever made it. I could be wrong of course, so I was very much hoping you could point me in the direction of Waters refutation. Like I say, I have read extensively on Waters, but I've never come across him saying anything about Richards' claim. I would very much like to read that.
I don't know if you were planning on saying anymore on the funeral issue above, if not then maybe I should try to clear up a possible mix up on your part. I think when you say that you saw photographs of Richards at Pallenberg's funeral, and he looked just like he does in the the photographs that I think we can now agree were taken at his mother's funeral i.e. with the dyed black hair and little moustache, then I suspect that what you have been looking at, is another photograph of Richards at his mothers funeral in 2007.
Richards only had that look in 2007, never before never after. It's easy to check that that was Richards' look in 2007, go to you tube and watch him induct the 'Ronette's into the Rock 'n' Roll of Fame in 2007. As it turns out 2007 was indeed the year of Richards appearing in his first 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movie. I think that 'look' Richards had in 2007 was in some way connected to his appearance in that film.
Whatever the reason for the 'look', it was one that Richards has never returned to. All the interviews, pictures and clips of him right up until a few months before Pallenberg's death, show him as he has looked for years now, grey hair, no moustache.
Richards as I've said might be all sorts of things, but I think on this occasion we can cut him some slack and agree that in actual fact did attend his mothers funeral in 2007. I think also that no lies were told in the interview with him that you have. What occurred was to me, in all likelihood, a simple change of mind on Richards' part when faced with the reality of his mother's death.
