I'm right here!...it is not necessary to relegate me to the third person, unless of course you're purposely trying to do that to make a point. In reference to your statement about Mick, John and Keith, originality does not necessarily equate to greatness, or to genius, in my opinion...

I do think genius is on a spectrum, not absolute, meaning I think you can be more or less (of one) than others. On that note, you didn't ask, but I will offer that I think Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, "Homer," Goethe, Newton, and Da Vinci are among a very select few in the history of the arts and literature. In Rock, Hendrix and Morrison do more for me in the overall thought and true contemplation than say--Lennon or Dylan--by far, but I'd be extremely hesitant to call anyone in rock music a genius (...with the obvious exception of Neil Peart, of course. LOL.)
