It would've been insulting to Ronnie and Darryl to have them on the full tour.
How would that be insulting to Ronnie?
As far as Darryl goes, he's been the main bass player since what, 1993 or so - yet he isn't made a permanent member? Is that not insulting, or fair, for the Glimmers to do that to him?
Mick Taylor might have also done it for the pay rather than stupidity like you said.
He clearly did it for the money!
