But what really needs to happen is an action taken by the international community against Syria's leadership, and the US show leadership in this.
I say yes to the first part of your statement, but no to the second part.
Yes, the entire world needs to speak up against this and take action, it's the only way it will work - especially in the Middle East. If there is one place the U.S. needs to stay away from and take action alone, or even as a leader, it's in the Middle East. We are already hated there (other than Israel) and every move we make, regardless if it's a good one or a bad one, the terrorists will go after us directly for any such action we take. We have seen this happen to us before, over and over again (and to other countries that also took action alone, since some Muslims take it as a act against Islam, and their holy book tells them to fight back). That's why it's got to be the international community that takes action and not the U.S. alone.
As far as North Korea goes, that's an entire different story, since there's no religion involved. But they got nukes, too, and that's where Trump being involved scares the crap out of me. I don't claim to know the best answer to solving this problem with North Korea, but I only know Trump being in charge isn't a good thing at all.
