I would have thought they were still a well known band, even today, but I guess not anymore.... in their heyday they sure were, anyway. I would think most of the Baby Boomers know of them at the least (plus everybody from Cleveland knows them for sure), but most old rock fans know them well.

If you listen to Classic Rock stations you should know them at least a bit, but I guess some Classic Rock stations must not play any of their stuff anymore? Their 2 best known songs, that I think most Classic radio stations still play a lot today are: "Walk Away", and "Funk #49", while some stations I bet still must play "Must Be Love", too.

Plus yes, Joe Walsh was in their band, he was the lead singer and guitarist. Tommy Bolin was in the band at one time, too.

IMO, the James Gang was light years better than the Eagles!
