I think Mick said he'd censor himself now if he was writing the lyrics to BS. Some listeners have expressed distaste (African Americans and women in particular). Anyone feel they went too far? Personally, they don'really trouble me too nuch as such things obviously did sometimes go down--and then the whole song is a kind of celebration of how black beauty can equalize all the horrible inequalities around at that time. I think the bottom line is that it was acceptable at the time but might be a step too far today as everyone listens much more closely and with highly tuned ears of political correctness.
