Yes, 80 in Denver today, the warmest temp there ever seen in February, and they been keeping records there since something like 1860 or so! We also hit a record high where I live today, at 57! Damn did that feel warm! Right now in the middle of the nite it's a warm 42 degrees That's way above what our normal high for the day should be! It should be about 10 degrees at this time of the night here. But we have a Winter Storm Watch out for snow for tonight, too, so the temp will drop fast sometime later today, but maybe one more record high this afternoon before it does?
Yes, I have a friend who lives in Crested Butte (their live cam is: here) , and they had over 90" of snow on the ground about 3 weeks ago. They are down to just under 80" today, as they haven't seen any real snow, other than an inch or two in the last 3 weeks or so. But they and most of the state will see big snows in the next 24 hours, even Denver will see snow after hitting 80!
