The sound quality on that is pretty stellar. I always forget just how good the Beatles sounded (in terms of engineering and production) compared to so many other bands from the same era. And, after years of hating on Sgt. Pepper I've recently been coming back around to it. When I just take it for what it is and try to enjoy it without dissecting its importance, effect on music and its place in history--or comparing it to better music, including their own--I can actually say I like and enjoy it again. There was a phase when I didn't, and couldn't. And while it is still really overrated and while I will still reach for Surrealistic Pillow, Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Forever Changes and De Capo, and obviously Pet Sounds (and more) several times before I'll go for Sgt. Pepper I can honestly say it is a decent solid piece of work.
