Not regarding a Stones video, but I was just reading the most recent issue of Goldmine magazine, a publication for vinyl record collectors with informative articles and interviews as well. The feature / cover article was about the making of Between the Buttons. It noted that around this time the band had recorded a song titled "English Summer" and that it was being considered as their next single. As it turned out, this recording was put on the shelf, and "Ruby Tuesday / Let's Spend the Night Together" was issued instead. So I'm wondering, if this song was good enough to be considered as a single, why it was never included on BTB or any other album for that matter? Anyone know more about this, or have actually heard it, or is this possibly an urban legend of sorts?
