RE: RE: RE: Beatles vs Stones

Oh sure harrison was a great talent. He would be the huge superstar in almost any other band but with the beatles he was shoved into the backround.

Actually, no, he was never shoved into the background, not at all! The one thing about Lennon/McCartney, they let George be George, even though he was nowhere as great as they were. That in turn helped George to become the fine guitarist that he turned into. Unlike in the Stones, where the others weren't even allowed to be acknowledged for their musical contributions, both George (and even Ringo) were allowed to grow in the Beatles.

Not only that, but where the Glimmers would never credit the other Stones when they came up with their own music, in the Beatles they not only did credited them, but both George and Ringo both were given 5% writing royalties on all of the songs that Lennon and McCartney wrote alone and which George and Ringo had nothing to do with - which was most of the songs of course. Thanks to all that, George did start to shine and in turn wrote some big-time classic songs for them, since he wasn't held back. In the Stones, the Glimmers' policy only lead to the opposite, with Brian fading at the end of his life directly from that; Bill withdrawing to where after 1970 he pretty much was only playing bass and no longer trying to get his songs heard, and then the band losing MT after just 5 years time, since his songs were being credited to Jagger/Richards only (as was the case with Jones/Wyman before him). Then of course, the same deal with Ronnie took place too, even before he was in the band, his song "It's Only Rock n Roll", which was being recorded for his solo album, was taken away from him and even most of his guitar work in the song was removed from it and replaced by Richards' guitar, and his song became a big hit for the Stones while he had zero credit on the song. In that case, he was given a now forgotten Jagger/Richards song to use on his solo album in exchange for his song. Plus a short time later, he also got a spot in the band, too.
