I'm not sure what the real point is of this. Yes, if you want to say playing the glockenspiel on Under My Thumb is a shiny moment for Brian, then fine. But, after all, Keith did write the frickin thing and it still sounds pretty good even without the frills. Ditto for the other songs of that period. Brian stopped "shining" because he wasn't a song writer, unlike Mick and Keith. Yes, Brian may have come up with the name (not sure) and might have been the leader in the early days, but the axis of Mick and Keef soon took over and BECAME the RS that we know and love. They wouldn't have amounted to anything more than a blues cover band without the glimmer twins.
