Yeah it seems the owners are all hung up on having a new stadium financed by public money, or they threaten to leave. We are having issues here in Seattle about trying to build a new NBA/NHL arena. One group wants a brand new place just south of Safeco and Centurylink in south Seattle. Another group wants to tear down Key Arena (old home of the Sonics) and build something new on that site. With no guarantee for either site that we will even get one or both new teams. I was in favor of Safeco Field being financed, but I am not so sure about the new ones now. I guess it would be different if the city would get ALL the profits....
