I've been running this board since '98 and I don't think I ever made the first post of the year before this year, so, a HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL!
I was just reading the last posts and replies of '16 in the archives and I see I wasn't the only one here to have no drinks on New Year's Eve. I was in the middle of making potato salad for tomorrow's New Year's Day dinner, and smoking some nice homegrown, and when I looked up at the clock thinking there was about a half hour to go till midnight, I was way off and it was 1156 pm, and I didn't want to stop what I was doing, so perhaps for the first time ever in my adult life, I didn't have a single drink on New Year's Eve.
But hay, if you're reading this, it means you lived to see 2017, a year I'm dreading, as in just what, 20 days (?) a madman fascist will be running the USA into the ground. I mean Trump really scares the shit out of me, just how did a man who lost by just under 3 million votes get elected again? Gosh is the U.S. fucked! But hey, today you are suppose to forget about stuff like that and just enjoy yourself and whoever is around you. Well, I'm alone tonight, but tomorrow 2 of my kids will be here and we will have a enjoyable time then!
