I don't understand your argument against early voting? It has to end sometime, no?... and any problem that you noted will in time happen anyway if it is going to happen.
How does it destroy the process if it saves the local governments (i.e. all the people) money and gets more people to take part in voting, since they get more days to get their vote in? How is this not following through? Plus if something happens on Nov. 10th, you can't take it back either, and sooner or later things happen with the corrupt leaders we have in this country and the truth is, we can take it back if something real bad did happen after any election.
Plus, when do they (and who is they?) decide when is early?
Any vote cast before Nov. 8 this year is a early vote. Plus yes, of course all local elections are a part of the early vote, anything that made its way on to the ballot is voted on, and then it's over and done. The voting season is way too long, and if most of us want to get it over sooner than later while saving us taxpayers more money, and bringing in more people to vote, why not do that? Voting should be an easy thing to do, and this does that by not limiting it to just one single day per year. The "I had no time to go out and vote today" excuse is tossed out the window with this, as you get 2 to 3 weeks to vote, depending on the state you live in! My guess is in time almost all the states will do this when they see how great it works and how much tax money is saved by it. Hell, everybody here loves it, including even the Republicans here love it, well, I should say Republican voters love it, but no, of course the Republican leaders hate it since the extra voters are mainly coming from the left, since most people in the U.S. are slightly left of center.
