I have read several places that the Stones wanted to do a blues album -no idea who suggested that- and decided to 'warm up' on several cover songs that they liked. Well things sounded so good they just kept playing. Eric Clapton showed up and played on a couple of songs with them. It is a little odd that after all these years and the catalog that they have, they would play 'covers'. I know that's what got them going way back when. They would play covers and put their own twist on them.
