As many of you know, California and 5 other U.S. states will vote on making marijuana legal for all use next month, just like it is here in Colorado and in 3 other states, and also in DC. It's about time, to say the least. Living under legal weed for years now here in Colorado, is now taken for granted, even the police accepts it here in my home state, and no, it is not affecting our young children at all in a negative matter, as those on the right insisted it would (instead it's building them new schools in weed generated tax money). So if you live in one of the states where you have a chance to vote on this, please vote yes, even if you don't use weed yourself, your state will see a ton of new revenue in tax money coming into play for your schools, roads, and other needed things!

I was one of the early fighters for legal marijuana - way back in the early 1970s, when most Americans were against this. I was one of the first members of NORML when it formed in NYC and spread pro pot petitions around my high school for them and in turn, I was unjustly busted at age 17 by pigs for doing this (arrested for "loitering for narcotics" was the charge, as I had nothing on me, I ate the joint we were smoking. I was in the back seat of my friend's car with my girlfriend at 2 am when they got me/us). Today I proudly tell my grandkids about those days and how I was on the right side of history while the establishment wasn't.
So now it's legal where I live, but I still will fight for others who live in backwards states and counties, and I will fight with these people who live there, until this madness is over with. 100 years from now, people will look back on the days when innocent people were arrested for this harmless drug, and think, what the hell was wrong with people back in the 20th and early 21 Century to make this wonder drug illegal?
