15 years ....

I still can't get my head around it. The weather was perfect that day. For whatever reason, that is what I remember the most. It took days to sink in. Finding out I knew some of the missing. I worked with them, shared shrimp and deviled egg recipes with one. Pet sat for another, Brewed beer and swapped recordings with a third. Then the memorial services. No remains. Just pictures and one service had trinkets. Not even a body to touch one last time. Must have been hell for the families. I know it was. Days to set in? I'm realizing now, it still has not. Peace
