.I voted for ron dante as he sang for the archies and on tracy by the cufflinks, great singer
Yes indeed, Dante sang all of the parts in the Top 10 song "Tracy", and sang all of the songs for what was yet really another fake group called "The Cuff Links". If that wasn't enough, he also in the mid '60s had another hit single that he sang the lead on, with yet another fake group, this time called "The Detergents", and the Top 20 hit single being "Leader of the Laundromat", which was a spoof of the then-current hit song "Leader of the Pack". Weird Al Yankovic learned how to be a parodist and make a ton of money thanks to that song. But "Sugar, Sugar" was the top selling worldwide single of 1969 and the biggest selling bubblegum song ever recorded, and most didn't know at the time that Dante was it's lead singer, or the lead singer on those other hit singles, too.
I have decided to list both Dante and Toni Wine separate in the poll list since Dante really does deserve his own spot, while Wine should still be listed, too. Normally once a poll has been started, I don't like to make changes like this, but it's still very early in the voting and since combined they only have 2 votes, I will split them up.
