Thanks Fender Bender and also the lurker who took the time to write me an email about missing Jim McCarty on the list. I didn't forget him when I wrote up the poll post last nite, as you can see, but when I put the list together the day before, and as I noted, I only went with the classic lineup where it is listed at Wikipedia, and copied and pasted it from the former members list there, but McCarty isn't considered a former member since he is the only person left in today's fake version of the Yardbirds, and I didn't remember that he was listed there and forgot to list him. Oh well, sorry about that!

You got the same deal with this phony version of the Yardbirds today that we have with Lynyrd Skynyrd, except we only ever talk about the fake version of Skynyrd today here and dismiss the Yardbirds, who if anything are worst when it comes to only cashing in on the name. Skynyrd at least has their main lead guitar player there along with a second guitarist who was an unofficial member back in the day, while the others in that band today have been at it for several years now as the phony Lynyrd Skynyrd. With the fake Yardbirds today, they only got their original drummer, along with some lead singer who first joined in the '90s and left, and then returned last year. The other members only joined last year, so how the hell can they call themselves the Yardbirds today? It would be like Mick, Keith and Ronnie leaving the Stones 25 years ago with Charlie being the only Rolling Stone in the band today, while still using the band's name. But Charlie would never do that.
