RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: every ones dying???,,,nsc

Compared to my parents, they were very young to stop going out!! My Mum was going out every day until just a few weeks before her 85th birthday when her health declined fast - she died about 6 weeks after her 85th. She loved to eat out, drove somewhere (anywhere) every day as she didn't enjoy being in the house all the time. She started learning to make cards on her computer in her late 70s at the local community college - I remember going to the awards ceremony and a few people asked me if I was about to be a recipient of an award - I said no, it's my Mum and pointed to the oldest student in the room!! She loved making b.day, anniversary cards, etc. for her friends and me & Dad. My Dad was still teaching Bridge 3 afternoons a week (beginners, intermediate and advanced) at 85 at the local community centre: he used to joke about finally receiving a salary (he'd been self employed almost all of his life, apart from a brief spell when he was a teenager). He had to stop driving due to failing eyesight in his mid 80s, but he kept active for as long as possible - until dementia took a hold. My Mum's best friend is 90 and goes to philosophy classes and other things all the time (she recently had a fall and went unconscious - hopefully she will recover and start going to classes again when they resume in September) - she goes out all the time: I take her out for a meal at a restaurant once every month or two, because her friends no longer eat out. She might be the oldest person in the restaurant, but as long as she's well enough to be there, she'll enjoy eating out. I always seem to find new projects that lead me to learning new things and so on and so forth - it's so important to stay inspired.
