Of course, to those who weren't around here in 'late '98, Mr BLOWS (always written in CAPS), was one of the original posters at the old Stonesworld board in 1996 (or did it start up in '95?). But if I recall, he retired from posting after it shut down and he didn't reappear until he showed up here several years later.
I had been a regular at the Stones newsgroup in late '95, but didn't get to Stonesworld until my friend Gerry told me about it in mid to late '96. I had met her at the NG and we exchanged emails early on, and agreed that the NG was a hostile place. Then Gerry found Stonesworld one day and wrote me about it. I started to post there as "JumpingJackFalsh", but at first not a lot, since I still owned my business at the time, which was a ton of work, but around the summer of '96, I sold the joint, and I then had more time to post, but I still always posted more at the NG.... But what I do recall was my very first post at StonesWorld, one started by a guy named.... DREW BLOWS! It was about if hippies were Stones fans or not, and another poster, a guy, who mainly posted in a rude matter (I can't remember his handle), flamed me for my comment in the thread, even though my comment was 100% correct and his was 100% wrong. He claimed hippies were never Stones fans, and I set him straight, which he didn't like to hear from a newcomer. Now 20 years later, I'm still around, and still a goddamn hippie Stones fan, while this other guy - who nobody remembers (unless DREW can recall his name?), is not around anymore and hasn't been for about 19 years now!
