Well I'm only in my 60s right now and my mom lived to almost 92, and dad was 87 when he passed, so, I hope to be around a few more years. But with my ongoing health problems, I don't think I'll even see 80 at this rate. I've been putting off the last needed surgery I'm suppose to have, but since my quality of life is real bad right now, it's just a matter of time to when I'll give in and go under the knife again. Well the truth is, they no longer cut into you when they do most bladder and all prostrate surgery these days, for guys, they just stick this long tube up inside your pecker and beyond, and that's suppose to be the better way. Yet I had major, painful problems for 5 full weeks after that surgery the last time, that now I keep putting the next round off, and my bladder problem just gets worst each day. It does suck getting older when your body parts stop working correctly. Perhaps dying young ins't as bad as getting old is? Hell, if I believed in God, I would say take me now, I mean if Heaven really existed, that would be better than living on Earth, and shit, you get to see all of your family again in Heaven, so in that sense, dying ins't a bad thing at all! But I don't believe in that religious god, nor do I believe in that Heaven (or Hell), not at all. I'm also pretty sure there's no afterlife, period, unless the Buddhist afterlife is true, but I don't think it is, even if I love the rest of that religion. So if this is it, I guess we might as well live as long as we are able to and put up with the pain of getting old, since the permanent state of oblivion just don't sound too fun or cool to me. But whenever I do go, perhaps somebody else will get to see the pain and joy in running the Land of Gas.
