Well, from decades of experience of observing all of my now deceased family, and from the years when I was not self-employed, work is a safe way to connect with people - work is essential for paying bills too. So, out of necessity people play the "get-along" game. It's living death IMO - however they have their family and friends outside of work, but the way they don't get along does make me sad. I disagree with you that they'd have a limited relationship - they're both well read and probably could find loads to discuss and debate, if they made the effort. Sure lots of bands only last a couple of years - lots of reasons for that. I'm not following your last two sentences SW. Why would anyone who is walking away will millions from a successful tour have tensions like MJ and KR have had? Obviously I'm not the average person because I can't even BEGIN to understand the notion of fighting over $100.
