RE: New rolling stones fan here

Good to see you posting and yes, as you noted to me in your email, it's something that a cool handle like "LadyJane" hadn't been taken yet in all of these years and with over 1,0000 handles out there. Most handles associated with any well known Stones songs are already taken and it's been that way for several years now.

As far as still getting to know the Stones, for Woody, you already got the best studio album that he played on, that being Some Girls. For Mick Taylor it was every Stones LP he was on, but sadly he was only on a few of them. Sticky Fingers was the best one with him, but if you are into very mellow LPs, he also shinned big time on Goats Head Soup, an album that most hard nosed Stones fans call their most underrated LP (and it is). As far as the Exile album goes, it is most loved by the average Stones fan, but not by me and many other hard nosed fans. Just too many horns on that one for me. That and too many throwaway songs that shouldn't been included. Had EOMS been a single album with the best cuts only on there, it really would have been their best ever, but the filler songs flat out suck on the album, IMO.

Keith's best album is Let it Bleed, Charlie is great on all of them, and Mick J sounds his best the more you go back in time. Yet I still have no problem with his present day voice either, as a few here do. As far as Brian's best LP, it depends on how you look at it. Many fans will claim Aftermath is his best, and he is all over that one playing so many different instruments. Yet it's an overrated album to me even if I do like it. My favorite BJ album is Beggars Banquet and don't believe those who claim he doesn't play a lot of the LP, that's nothing but a total falsehood. No, he may not be on every track on that album, but he's on all of the songs other than the last 2 (heck, even MJ isn't on one song!), and although it might not be his best overall work (yet on NE his slide is at it's very best!), it's still my favorite Stones album that he's on.
