RE: RE: JUDGING JAGGER....?

Oh Keno - sorry to hear about the angst in your family over the anniversary of your wife's death. At the end of the day Sue was the mother of your step-daughter - irrespective of their relationship, she was raised in the family and who knows what pressures she was under by her birth grandparents - families can be extremely complex.

Grief impacts everyone differently, and attachment to those we love is not easy for some to understand.

I agree with you about fans casting judgment - and let's face it, most of the human race love to be judgmental - I've watched it a lot and been on the receiving end of it loads regarding all sorts of nonsense that bears no relation to reality. At the end of the day, we're talking about thirteen years of Mick Jagger's life. Irrespective of how the relationship was or was not, when someone's in your life for that length of time, it's traumatic to accept that they're no longer here - and especially the way in which she died. When people grieve they're not thinking clearly, their world gets turned upside down and inside out - it's impossible to make clear decisions about emotional matters - who do those fans think they are to cast judgment anyway? They haven't walked a mile in Mick Jagger's shoes to have a clue what he was going through then - nor what he's feeling now. Everyone is unique, and no-one can be replaced - things just get jumbled up like throwing iron filings up in the air and they land in a different pattern.

All anyone can do is try to keep afloat and not drown.

I guess there's fewer enlightened people than unenlightened, so the world will keep turning in the same old ridiculous ways and people will not realise they're asleep all the time.
