I also recall, not too long ago your computer got messed up. How do you know that whatever infected it, wasn't a connection thru FF? Do you know for sure, 100%, where that came from?
It happened after an Avast update. Avast being an antivirus program, I doubt that the update was carrying an infection of some kind. I'm not even sure I was infected with anything. I had to turn off the computer for the update to finish installing and when I turned it back on, I could no longer access any Windows program.
Somehow I doubt that the result would have been any different if I'd done the update through Chrome. Seems more like either there was a conflict between the update and Windows, or else something happened when I turned the computer back on.
Anyway, it's the only major problem I've ever had with any computer I've owned, and I've been using Firefox since 2005.
