Surprised nobody noted his passing here yet, but it is, or was, Saturday, when posts here seem to dry up some.
Antonin Scalia has to go down as the worst Supreme Court member in my lifetime, who also, because of his backwards consecutive actions, was one of the most dangerous man alive in the US, who in all of those years while on the Court, did a huge amount of damage to this country. I've said it's never right to put down a person when they first die (with few exceptions), and I'm sticking to that here, but there's nothing wrong with pointing out how awful a lawmaker he was, and the damage he put this country into while he was alive. The best thing I can say tonight about his passing, is that finally another small bit of the mess Ronald Reagan left this country in, is now finally over!
The biggest problem now is once again the Republicans, who don't want to see anybody nominated until after Obama leaves office, are already saying this! They seem to forget that this man was elected president for 4 years by we the people, and has another full year to go. So go ahead Republicans, and block whoever Obama nominates, and give the people of this country yet another reason why we should vote against everybody running for any office in this your party. Show the American people and the rest of the world once again, just how good you are in closing down our government, a government your party hates so much!
The passing of this man is the best thing to happen to the Democrats in the last few years now, hopefully they use it to their advantage once the GOP machine tries to again show us just why they suck so bad and need to be totally voted out of office when we vote in November. But of course, since the Democrats also suck for the most part, I can't be that hopeful about anything, but still, you know you will get a better person nominated by them than the jerks in the GOP.
