Lol, Pluto. Good stuff.

Gano did indeed miss a field goal of relatively average NFL distance. My friends and I, (Those blessed with sound football intuition anyway), all agreed right then, it was a bad omen for the Panthers chances, and a pivotal momentum changer during the game. The kick hit the right upright and bounced to the right, "No Good". Another foot to the left, on the 40 plus yard try, and Gano and the Panthers would have been credited with 3 points. And narrowed the score to 13-10 Denver. Instead Denver, now regaining the momentum, drove down to kick a successful Field Goal and increase their lead to 16-7.

Gano's missed Field Goal did take some of the wind out of the Panthers sails when it appeared the Panthers Offense was finally finding a good rhythm.

Gano's Country of Birth no doubt sealed the Panthers' fate! ;)
