RE: keith richards..sleep

I'm a lot like Keith when it comes to sleeping, and I wish I wasn't, since I've been told by more than one doctor that it's a very unhealthy thing to do on a regular basic. But this also runs in my family, too, well at least on my mom's side of the family. But the average adult does need 7 or 8 hours of sleep a night, depending on the person, with one exception. It has been shown that those over 50 and under 80 don't need as much sleep, and can get by with 6 to 7 hours a night. I myself almost never get more than 5 hours a night. Take the last few days for me as an example... I slept 3 hours last night, 2 hours the night before, and about 3 hours the night before that. I do fall off to sleep real fast when I do go to bed, and last night I did plan on getting more sleep, but I got to bed around 4am and I was up by 7am. I flat out couldn't sleep anymore and wanted to get up, so I did, and went outside, and after clearing away the new snow that fell from the front walkway and deck, I took my usual long morning walk with the dog, in the snow, around the block, which covers about a mile, and half of that is walking up a mountain side. So it's a work out for sure, but I loved it and don't feel tired or like I need more sleep. Maybe tonight I'll get more than 3 hours of sleep? I'm gonna try again, but if you see me posting here, as usual around 3 in the morning, then you know I failed again!

As far as Keith only sleeping 2 days a week? That's hard for even me to believe, I think he would be dead by now if he did that regularly, but then again, he's Keith Richards, so he just might do that, and still live to be 99!
