Sounds like this would be a good one for Talya to throw on! Accept, embrace, and move on! I discovered this true gem in '09, and played it to death, or should I say, I played it to "life" for several months; and revisit it every now and then these days.
And as it happens, what I'm listening to lately compliments this perfectly: Love, Forever Changes. What an album, and what a band! Arthur Lee definitely "set the scene," in L.A. in the mid-60s so to speak, and definitely influenced Pink Floyd, The Bryds, Doors, not to mention Robert Plant and Hendrix in various ways not just relating to music itself. And this after having himself been influenced by Jagger and those aforementioned Byrds. His lyrics and delivery could be so tender at times and the yet the equal of Jim and Van Morrison put to together at other times. He was right that everything that lives is born to die, of course, but proved that the process of it could be beautiful too! Remember that, you who are prone to sometimes reveling in misery! (and that includes me)
