Brian Jones was URGENTLY needed, period! He was the teacher. He taught Mick and Keith how to BE Mick and Keith. What else did Brian do?? He laid the foundation for the Rolling Stones. All those exotic instruments he played that gave the Stones their edge, for starters. Manny, I believe you said TSMR is one of your favorite albums. Its LOADED with those beautiful sounds that came from Brian Jones. I don't know how the Beatles started, but as fantastic as I think George is ( He is my favorite Beatle), Paul and John, IMO, could have survived without him from the start. Mick and Keith would NOT be who they are today without Brian.
