RE: RE: RE: Stones art

I got a couple of Stones posters, the one advertising the 'Gimme Shelter' film, and the one for the Godard film, through a link here at Keno's. I got those, and several others I had of other artists, framed by a pro., and they adorn my living room.

SV's suggestion of framing album covers is a great one, and I have done that. Every night after a hard day's scheming and plotting I lay my weary head down right under Brian Jones's image on the '12X5' album. What I'm thinking of is doing paintings(my take on) of albums that have influenced, and mean something to me. I will do these on 12"x 12" board so that they can go into said album frames which you can get quite cheap.

I've also framed three of the blues cards series that Robert Crumb produced a while back, plus a couple of great photos of Lennon and McCartney that came via Dundee University. I've got a few things waiting to be framed, a pencil drawing of Keith Richards, and a brilliant woodcut print of Robert Johnson.

I think it's a great idea you have NB, and there are plenty of ways to go. Consider this; a number of years ago a gallery here had an exhibition of Ronnie's stuff. After days of harping on,I finally managed to persuade the ex mrs pluto that it would be a great idea if we spent money on buying a limited edition print, an investment etc. etc. So having been given the green light I head into town only to find that the exhibition had packed up and legged it to another town. So if you ever get the chance, seize the day, he who hesitates and all that. I think one of Ronnie's pieces would look great on your wall, and it would be an investment for sure.
