It will be the next Stones book I buy. Brian Jones was a complicated cat by nearly all accounts of those who knew him well. Trynka, it certainly seems, went to great lengths to obtain a large number of interviews of people who knew Brian during the course of his life in order to write an objective, and detailed Biography on BJ. I'm impressed by the amount of research he put into the book.
At this point I would rather read accounts of Brian by anyone other than say, Keith, to get details on the true Brian Jones. Keith refuses to give Brian the credit for collecting the band or naming the band. Even while both are documented facts of Rolling Stones history.
The research I did on Brian before writing the lyrics of a song about him which gasser 'Make Me Run' co wrote, performed and recorded, was fascinating in that Brian had so many sides to his personality. He could be a sensitive soul or a jerk, and everything in between. He could make any instrument he picked up sing. (Even Keith admits this fact.) And, yes, he planned on his band to bring the blues he loved so much to England and beyond.
