Yes. And that is the concern. Billionaires are powerful and can buy politicians. How many deals and plans are being made behind the scenes, and outside of the democratic process by members of this "Club"? Certainly the potential is there.
As citizens of the U.S. we rarely feel our interests are truly being represented in Washington. It is the interests of Big Business which are truly being represented there.
Meanwhile the Rights of private citizens are slowly being stripped away.
