All work and no play makes Jack Flash a dull boy. Tis' true, friends and neighbors! It's no Gas to work your Ass off seven days a week! No sir! But it's truly alright now 'cause it's Friday! Time to live it up! I said "It's alright NOW! In fact it's a Gas!". Can I get an "Amen!"
My workweek started out like a crossfire hurricane! My truck broke down and I howled at the driving rain! Yes I did! But it's alright now! Yes it is! In fact it's a gas! Cause it's what day of the week brothers and sisters???!
That's Right! Our favorite day of the week! When we can put our Beast Of Burden down and spin it around till we start singing, "All I want is for you to make love to me !"
Can I get another "Amen!"?

Ya know ol' Jack Flash went through hell didn't he?! He surely did. Yet he didn't do much complainin' about it. He just rolled with the punches! Like a Rollin' Stone! And if I ever met that semi-fictional fella in real life I'd havta buy him a drink or ten! We'd sit down across from each other on the front porch and I'd look him right square in his gardener eyes and I'd say, "Jack, you ol' crazy sonofabitch, YOU are an inspiration to us all!" And he'd likely say, "Who Me?" And I would say, "Damn Right you! Schooled with a strap right across your back, and raised by a bearded hag without a tooth in her ugly head! She must've been a nightmare to look at each day! You damn near drowned and I can see the nasty scar in your head where that steel spike used to be. You been through it Dude! I mean YOU have Really been through it!" Then we'd take another drink. As time goes by, he would likely say, "What's so inspirational about that?" And I would say, "Well Jack, after all you been through - after all you were put through by some shitty mean hearted violent people, you didn't let it make you bitter. You didn't let all that shit mold you or define you. You have been quoted as saying, 'It's alright now! In fact it's a Gas!' That is one incredible attitude to have after all you've been put though, Jack! And it is most definitely inspirational! You don't live in the tragic past, you live in the Now. You just appreciate the Now and let the past be the past and not a part of your present or your future. That's awesome Dude!"
Right about then he'd likely smile a sheepish smile while lookin' at the contents of beer in his glass, and then say, "Cool TM. Now could you STFU with all your stories and turn The Stones up on the boom box! IT"S TIME TO REALLY PARTY!" And then ol' Jack would laugh a hardy laugh!
Summer is drawing to a close. Don't work all weekend if you can avoid it. Have yourself a good time whatever that entails.
