RE: RE: HTML Tag 101

Yeah, I've done that a few times too! Only difference, is I usually catch it when I do it and unlike yourself or anybody else here, I can go into the board's admin and fix it asap, so 99% of the time nobody ever sees it when I do it.

Oh, and another thing I noticed that you do every so often, is open a code, with say, a lower case "i", and you close it with a capitol "I". Until I noticed you doing that, I was under the impression that if that was done, the code won't work, but now thanks to you I know that it does still work! Yet if you use some of the codes that mean the same thing, like "b" or "strong" for bold, you can't use both in the same line to open and close, in the same way you can do that with lower and upper case codes. In other words, you can open and close with "b" and "/B", but you can't open and close with "b" and "/strong", if you do that, all the text after the open code will stay bold. Same deal with the same codes used for italic, with "i" or "em", you have to open using the same code, either one, but you can't use both in the same line of code, even though they give the same results when used on their own. Strange indeed! Guess I should note that depending on the browser you use, there is actually some kind of difference in those codes that give the same results, like "i" and "em" for italic. I know that real old browsers don't recognize "em" for italic, and then there's something to do with people who are blind using a special browser online, where these codes, which seem to be used for the same things, actually do mean something different when blind people used them. That I guess explains why you got to use the same code symbol with what you open with, to close it...... but again, that's just a guess, as I never set up a page for those who are blind, as I never learned how to do that, or understand how such browsers even work.
