Interesting, but the very first version of As Tears Go By was called As Time Goes By, and is just Mick and Big Jim Sullivan, and has fairly different lyrics. It got changed when someone - possibly Andrew, pointed out the song from Casablanca of the same title - M&K having never seen the flick! That has been around for a long time on various boots. THAT had to have been recorded sometime after Andrew taking over in mid-63, and before ALO handing Marianne the real song not too much later. so yeah, it almost has to be that the ATGB outtakes have to be from 64 sometime.
Also, the March 63 IBC session - singular - was very much done racing against the clock on the wall - Bright Lights, Big City was a quickie track done with the ticker running down - by everybody's account, especially Bill. Those IBC tracks are STILL some of the best stuff they ever did, and its amazing when you consider that Bill and Charlie had only really joined a couple of months prior, yet are already as TIGHT as they would be for the next 30 years....
