Aye I reckoned you would have DA, I was just wondering if you knew anything specific about Miles, and why he might be of the opinion that more than one person held Jones under the water the night he died?
I'm pretty much in agreement with you, I don't really know how Jones died, the only verdict ever reached was the outcome of the Coroners Inquest, so that is the fact until someone provides something that can change that. I'm in line with you and your reasons on this, it's not going to happen.
You may very well be correct that the circumstances/controversy of his death(and life)have overshadowed Jones' achievements. I know I have stated LIB as my favourite album, and HTW as my favourite single, and both came right at the very very end of Jones' association with the band, but the Jones years if I can call them that, are my favourite years. Not surprising maybe given my age.
It's funny, but after bertold made his post about McCartney playing all the instruments on his first albums after the Beatles broke up, I was thinking what Brian Jones might have come up with if he had gone down that road when it was all over with the Stones. I don't really know if his health was up to it, and I don't think from what I've read it was a direction he was thinking of travelling but......he could get a tune out of an instrument or two, and he could come up with a musical idea or two....so I was just wondering.
