I don't know what people see in them at all...

I don't either and I would never pay money to see them. I don't think I'd even go see them if it was free.

I can think of two shows that stand out in my mind as very bad. Well, one and a half actually.

One was REM in 1995. A buddy bought the tickets for this one and all she could manage was seats way up in the nosebleed section. There was so much reverb that I couldn't tell what songs were being played. I hated it but the rest of our party (one gal, two guys) loved it. So maybe it was me...

The other one was a (supposedly) blues outfit which a friend and I caught in a small club in the early 90s. There was a huge snow storm going on at the time so there were only a few people in the place. The band sucked so badly that my friend was busy looking at the ceiling trying to figure out the wiring while I was staring vacantly into space. We decided to leave after a handful of songs. Since the place was almost empty, everyone (including the band) watched us leave. Pretty embarrassing!
