Yes, they did play two nights in a row and you had to get tickets thru a lottery system. I don't recall the exact date of the show I attended, but I skipped my high school graduation to see it. I was up in the nose bleed seats and the sound was total crap up there. Way too "thin." Page could have used another guitar player onstage to help fill out the sound. "Rock 'n' Roll" was OK, but it was all downhill after that. I dozed off and didn't wake up until the green laser light show during "Dazed And Confused." The friend I went with thought the show was great (he was stoned off his ass....maybe I should have been). However, to this day, whenever we talk about that show, all he can remember is the light show. That's not how I rate a rock concert. If the music sucks (and it did from where I was sitting) then the show sucks. I saw the Stones at MSG, from almost the exact same seats, in '75 and the sound was perfect (in fact, every time I've seen the Stones at MSG they've sounded great...no matter where I was sitting (or standing for that matter). Maybe if I'd been stoned (like my friend) or had floor seats, my opinion would be different but, as far as I'm concerned, that Zep show was the worst concert of my life.
