And supposedly they are planning "Woodstock 50" to happen in 2019 at the very same place.
Unless they did it for free like the last time, and only feature the same artists from the first time (and half of them are dead now), I won't care, since it was the feel of the concert and the fans that made it so special (okay, the music was great, too). It won't mean anything otherwise, just like the other ones they tried to do. You just can't recreate that, so why try?
Anyone own that Woodstock live album?
There were 2 official albums released, not just one.... the first released was a triple album: Woodstock, and the second a double LP:Woodstock 2 and I owned both of them, they were both excellent, but the first one was the better of the 2. Still some interesting stuff on the second one, too. I lost both LPs when my home was broken into years ago and my entire record collection was stolen and I never replaced them.
