I can see exactly where Keith is coming from. The magic of the Beatles as a rock band is pretty much gone and lost within all the experimenting of Pepper, as it was for the Stones when they crossed over for Majesties. As far as I know, he is a fan of much of their early work. They sort of returned to that true band sound for much of the White album. Apart from appreciating what Pepper is, it's not my cup of tea per se, and I have not listened to that album through in probably 20 years. I do like a handful of songs from it, though.
