Like yourself manny, I'm a fan of psychadelia, but I've got to say Sgt Pepper is the Beatles album I play least, and I only have the outakes version of TSMR, so I guess that's saying something.
As far as the songs you mention which you feel would have made the albums stronger, I agree, but I'm from the singles should not be on albums school.
HTW is a tune I love, and much of that is down to the intro, but I've got to say since you mentioned it, We Love You imo has the most evocative opening of any Stones tune, Hopkins' piano omg! As a whole a very underrated piece of work I think.
