I did let the contact people know what I thought of their decision and asked to be removed unless they changed that decision

There should be a way for you to delete your account if that's what you truly want to do. You probably have a "Profile" tab at the top when you're logged in. If you click that, you should have a link or a button somewhere that says "Delete Forum Account" or some such. If you click that, your account will go POOF and you won't be able to bring it back. You'd have to sign up for a new account if you wanted to re-join the forum.

I'm not familiar with this forum host (Xeno-something) but I'm willing to bet that they give you the option of removing yourself from the forum.

Keno, they're called "forums" because they can have many boards and even sub-boards. You have to have one word for the whole and then another one for the parts, otherwise it gets too confusing.
