Old Albums You Should Have nsc

Because people will let you down but great music never will, in the coming months I will share the titles and artists of some great old albums that are perfect for your listening pleasure. Certainly these albums mean and have meant a lot to me. In many cases the albums being praised will not be a revelation to all of the music lovers here but rather a reminder instead. I will list only the albums I consider strong from beginning to end. The kind of albums which are a work of art and make you glad to be alive while listening to their magic. The genre is not restricted to Rock even though Rock is by far my favorite genre.

Feel free to add albums you think are perfect.

Great music is timeless.

Quarter Moon In A Ten Cent Town - Emmy Lou Harris

I suppose you would have to label this one as Country Blues but I think of it as a beautiful angel singing her heart out with out of this world results. I recently purchased this one and four more of her albums on CD for the shocking price of 9.99 on sale. I bought it decades ago on cassette because I loved the song 'Two More Bottles Of Wine' but every damn song on here is a gem. Harris could make any man fall in love with her with her voice alone but she happened to be incredibly beautiful and humble as well at the time of this recording. She doesn't just sing beautifully she relays the feeling of the songs so convincingly you don't dare to doubt she is singing from personal experience. The music is as pure as the emotions she conveys and thankfully not that overdone steel guitar with backing vocals so common in the Country music I can't stand. There is sincerity, truth and real art on this, her finest masterpiece.
