I think it's a great back cover! It goes so well with the FRONT cover. It's almost like a story. Consider the turbulent time it was in 1969...vietnam war, all the political bullshit, unrest within the Stones ( the Brian Jones departure and then his death), Altamont. The cover kinda made sense! The Stones also had a thing for cakes back then. Remember the cake fight at the release of the Beggars Banquet party in 1968?
I think the back cover of Hot Rocks should have been the front cover. There are also, as you know, great pics on the inside of the album. I would spend so much time exploring the vinyl album covers back then as the music played in the background. While I like the sound of the CD better, it would have been cool if cd's were released inside those old vinyl album covers lol!
