Why do I get the feeling that both Memo's are solo versions? I mean Metamorphosis is basically Klein passing Mick's solo demos as Stones cuts. Here's side one.

Only "Don't Lie To Me" is a Stones song and that has piano overdubs ALO did in the early seventies with session musicians added to it that don't sound right.

OK so this is apparently all Stones but only one track with Brian for sure (the mistitled "Lyle Street Lucy" is almost certainly from April 1969 not 1968) and as side one is all Mick demos (almost) I am fairly easily convinced that Memo is just another one, albeit from a later era.
That said these are very different recordings and this one is released as the Rolling Stones (which in the case of this album means little). This one is just sloppy to me with no groove to it. I really like the solo version and that's the one that has some of the Stones magic on it.
Kind of an odd track as you can trace the Mick and Keith feud back to Performance. Also all the junkie crap started then.
