We are the luckiest fans in the whole world. The fucking Rolling Stones are still touring. I'm tired of everyone bitching about not having Bill, Mick T, & different set list. I could sit through Satisfaction 20 times. I thank God for my Rolling Stones.
Me and my girlfriends had so much fun on our trip. We had some grade A smoke and a few pain pills to kill the pain.
We took off Saturday morning at 8:00 am and what should have been a 6 hour drive took 10 fucking hot hours. We took interstate 20 into Dallas and they took a fucking 6 lane hwy and turned it into one fucking lane. As we were sitting in the hot car I started praying that we would make the show. Thank God we did. Missed the pre-party where I would have meet up with Maxmeister, a few Shidoobees & a few more gassers, and my friends from Ville Platte.
We raced to our room found a shuttle, wiped our asses, changed our close and started drinking at the bar. 20 minutes later we were dropped off at the stadium. I thought we were in OZ.
We went in and bought all kinds of stupid shit becasue we were so fucked up. My husband is still laughing at my sponge tongue.
Also picked up $17.00 margaritas which we shouldn't had.
So the opening act comes on and my friend Lisa Lee starts getting sick. She's turning green. She says she started praying that she would be good when the Stones came on. Then I see my friend Deb dancing and drinking beers. My other friend Mary Shawn is so fucked up she's trance dancing to the music. I'm in heaven that my girl friends are having so much fun. haha
So the Stones are about to come on all of a sudden Deb jumps up and says I'm going get more beer. So they come on and I'm in paradise I'm not paying attention to my girl friends anymore. So When IORR comes on I look and there is Deb passed out cold, Lee is dancing & Mary is also dancing. Later in the night we took pics with Deb and called her Bernie. I'm glad she had such a good time, she has a high stress job.
Guys the Stones blew me away!!!!!! Midnight Rambler was fucking great. They showed me that they don't need Mick T. It's like the set list was made for me. I'm still in Aw that I saw them again. June 1, I had my 40th anniversary of seeing the Stones. From 1st period to menopause. Only sad thing for me was that Mick didn't crawl on the stage during Rambler. I watched in glee as he sang the song.
Like I said my set-list blew me away. Maybe I'll get Swayed in Buffalo. Looking forward to parting with everyone in Buffalo.
